Samsung Bada 2.0 Coming in July?

Samsung has announced that it will be launching a latest version of its Bada mobile OS, Samsung Bada 2.0. The current version of the Samsung Bada OS is 1.2 and Bada 2.0 will be launched in July 2011.
Samsung Bada 2.0 will bring a range of new features to the mobile OS, including a much improved UI, Samsung will also be adding in support for Near Field Communication (NFC).
Samsung’s bada 2.0 operating system is slated to hit the markets this coming July – opening from India, of all spaces, according to Financial Express. So far, the bada OS hasn’t actually selected up as much steam as Samsung would have liked, and is more or less reserved for their entry level as well as mid-range handsets. Samsung executive Dipesh Shah of Samsung India claims that the company intends to hit a smartphone market share of around 30% in 2011, which is more than double of what they ended with in 2010. According to Samsung, the total number of bada devices sold in India was similar to that of Android phones – nice to hear, but what about the rest of the world? It would be safe to say that the number of Android-powered handsets sold worldwide from Samsung is way higher than what bada could ever muster. Samsung bada 2.0 or even 3.0, it looks set to be resigned to a niche market.
